Earlier this morning (CET)
Novak Djokovic of Serbia won his first (and there are many more to come) Grand Slam title by defeating
Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of France and thus became the first Serb to win a singles Grand Slam title. On his way to victory, Nole has beaten the likes of Lleyton Hewitt, David Ferrer and of course, Roger Federrer. Yesterday, Maria Sharapova prevented Ana Ivanovic from completing a Serbian double, by defeating her in the ladies’ final.
Anyway, back to my puzzles. As you have certainly noticed, the Flower Sudoku and Samurai Sudoku puzzles have not been updated this year. This is simply because the number of visitors to those two sites has not been great lately and I didn’t think it was worthwhile operating three websites. Therefore, the unique Flower Sudoku and Samurai Sudoku variations will be reintegrated to this site and posted occasionally on the weekends.
Today’s puzzle is my first of this kind, it’s a
Zero Killer Flower Sudoku
for Sunday, January 27, 2008.

I would love to continue to see the flower (especially) and samurai variations as often as possible. I had been looking forward to Mondays and Thursdays! But I will take what I can get. 🙂
I, too, had been looking forward to Mondays and Thursdays. I really am looking forward to more flowers!
I especially like the Flowers, greater and less than in particular.
I love flowers, and I love this one. It’s a little too hard for me, though. I solved a few numbers. Then I had to look at the solution and add a couple more cages. I set it aside, so I wouldn’t remember what went in those cages, and finally got it!
Consider: posting a more moderate version, along with the higher IQ puzzles, for those of us who LOVE your variations, but can’t quite conquer the IQs and Insanes?
This puzzle (IQ 265326) was cruel and unusual punishment. In the end I was tired but satisfied that it did have a solution that could be worked out. So the punishment had its reward.
Very, very tough, but solved without guessing. Really nice puzzle.
Really enjoyed this puzzle, thanks 🙂
