Weekly Samurai X

Samurai X for Saturday, November 05 – this is the only place you can find these kind of Sudoku puzzles! Basically, not only do you have to fight against 5 interconnected Sudokus, but you also need to be carefull about the diagonals: ALL diagonals in the puzzle must contain one occurrence of each 1-9 digit. The diagonals are marked in the puzzle so you wouldn’t forget about them.

    Hi Djape,
Just want to report to you that you haven’t provided the solution for last weekend’s (Oct 29) samurai puzzle. The link you gave was for the previous week (Oct 22) one. At that time we thought you were intended to post the solution one week later… that means this weekend!
    Thanks for the attention!

Udosuk, thanks for that – I never noticed that the link was for the previous puzzle. Sorry for this – I just updated the link so you can download the solution.

    Thanks again.

Thanks for your prompt response! You truly are a great puzzle provider. I also posted an analysis about the brain killer X puzzle last week in your “Daily Sudoku” column (sorry the “Daily Killer” one is a bit crowded). In there I talked about a new technique called “subtraction combo”. Would love to hear your take on that. All the best!

I read your post – the “subtraction combo” is interesting but I suggest that people use the calculator found here: http://www.djapedjape.com/?p=24

It gives you the full list of all possible combinations from which you should eliminate those that for one reason or another can’t go into the given cage.
