The Viva La Vida Code

Viva La Vida……continued So we have a famous old painting hanging in the Louvre and a quote from Chris Martin about how he was brought up a Catholic but rejected the religion. Old painting + Louvre + Catholicism = DA VINCI CODE Could there possibly a hidden meaning on the album cover? In the quote about the Viva la vida song, Chris Martin mentions terrorists blowing up buildings ie; the 9/11 terrorist attack on the WTC in New York. So, if you looked at the CD cover and happened to find an artistic representation of 9/11 it would be fair to say that it MIGHT be intentional. (check out the paint “splash” that is different from the rest) If you then found another reference to New York on the album cover, it would be fair to say that it MUST be intentional. Go find them!

    So far I’ve been (moderately) sensible.

    The following is utter twaddle. I know it’s utter twaddle, you will know it’s utter twaddle. But I’ll include it because it’s relevent and maybe you can see something I can’t.

    The Da Vinci code also mentions anagrams. As aready stated, there are two references to New York City on the CD cover. So look at this “question and answer” anagram that can be made from the following letters;

    VIVA LA VIDA NYC

    Y = Why
    AA = 2 Artists (Delacroix and Kahlo)
    VLV = Viva la vida?

    DA VINCI

    (Utter nonsense!)

    Also, Viva La Vida backwards is Adiv al Aviv, which proves that Martin is secretly an A-rab!

    Some of you reading this thread might be thinking that I am gratuitously bashing the US. I’m not. I am 100% pro-US. Do you think that Djape would let me have this thread if he thought I would alienate all his US fans?

    I am 100% pro-US, but I am also 110% anti-Mr Crazy in the Whitehouse.

    On one of the lyric sites, I have made it my mission to get people to realise that in Viva la vida it does not say “I know St Peter WILL call my name.” One US guy originally called me a “dumb ignoramus”. However, he now believes me. Here is a copy of a post I made to him today;

    “Imagine you had a big brother that you looked up to and respected. However, one day you found out the brother you idolised was nothing but a big bully who picked on your friends. You would despise him.

    This is exactly how the whole world regards the US now. It is purely because of the policies of your President. The thing that we non-US simply can’t understand is why did you re-elect him?

    IMHO if Obama wins in November, overnight you will see the whole world rally round your country. We need you to lead us and as long as there are reasonable people like you around there is hope.”

    (I can’t believe that any of the 28% of US citizens who thinks Bush is doing a good job are even remotely interested in Sudoku!)

    This Viva la vida stuff is great for free con with my Japanese students. It usually takes them one minute to twig to the Da Vinci Code reference and a further minute to find the New York references.

    Come on! I want to post my killer.

    Actually h3lix, I think it proves he’s Israeli. (Tel) Aviv. Plus, ADIV looks like “David”.

    If you look at the album cover, the words “Viva la vida” have been slapped on carelessly causing lots of white paint splashes. There is one paint splash on the far right of the cover which is strange. It is a straight white line about one inch long. Look at where this line ends and the buildings surrounding it. That represents 9/11.
    (It looks much more realistic on the actual album cover than the computer)

    The woman in the picture is called Liberty. She has her right hand aloft, she is holding something in it and she is French. That represents the Statue of Liberty.

    Frida Kahlo (who originated the “Viva la vida” line) was a well-known artist who had an exceptional life, but who was first and foremost a revolutionary.

    The Statue of Liberty is THE iconic symbol of the US.

    So if you assume the Liberty woman represents the US then if you look at the whole picture, you see the US, backed up with guns, trampling enemies underfoot, in the name of liberty, with 9/11 in the background.

    However, someone took offence to the painting and vandalised it with a revolutionary slogan.
    Therefore Coldplay are anti-Bush (the dancing politicians youtube video already told us this) and the whole of the song Viva la vida is aimed at Bush.

    If you assume the song is about Bush, I can give you a Bush-related meaning for every single line of the song. (something all those people who are reading the wrong words and believing it’s about Jesus, can’t do)

    Tomorrow I’ll post the killer.

    THE PANTS TEST

    Any theory must be able to withstand independent outside verification. So I would like to enlist the help of……….. h3lix’s Dad.

    He has the actual CD, so if h3lix points out the similarities between the Statue of Liberty and the woman in the picture then points to the far right of the album cover, let’s see what his response is.

    If he makes no connection with 9/11, then my whole theory is pants and I will mention it no more (hopefully it’s generated some interest in this site though).

    If he does make a connection, then it’s reasonable to assume that everything I’ve said might not be pants.

    …and finally

    Here is the killer. It is (surprisingly) non-political, but like the song Viva la vida, it does have George W Bush as the central character.

    …and just to demonstrate that I am “fair and balanced” like Fox News, here’s a short video entitled “I’m voting Republican” featuring numerous people giving their reasons why they’re voting for McCain.

    DISCLAIMER

    THE VIEWS IN THIS THREAD DO NOT IN ANY WAY REFLECT THE VIEWS OF DJAPE.

    If anyone wishes to provide an alternative explanation to the Viva la vida lyrics, backed up with proof and a PS rated insane killer, I’m sure Djape would be more than willing to accommodate you.

    Yippee! Victory is mine!

    The lyric site I have been having an argument on has finally changed the lyrics from “St Peter WILL call my name” to “St Peter WON’T call my name” (I’m under the name vespucci43 if you scroll down for comments)

    Mike. Did you say you are 100% pro-U.S.? How can you be pro-U.S. and at the same time despise U.S. policies. Perhaps what you mean is that you like American but hate the policies of their government? Yet these very same Americans re-elected Bush thereby voting in favour of those policies. Please explain yourself sir.
