Comments

There were quite a few comments from our visitors, especially on the Daily Killer Sudoku page, which makes that and other pages load slow. Therefore, I have moved some of the old comments to this new category. If you’d like to read what other people had to say about our puzzles you may find the old comment by clicking on the “comments” link below or here. UPDATE (some 5 years later): I reopened the comments on all pages. Feel free to add your comments there, it means a lot to me!

Frank – I had a repeated digit in column 3.

    Thanks

There has been a lot of discussion on other sites and some discussion on this site. I think most agree that the numbers shouldn’t be repeated within a cage.

I’m glad you posted a Butterfly X as well as the Killer today, because I finished the Killer in (probably) record time – my record time, that is.

I will have to check out your new forum, never used one myself.

I also agree with Adele about posting the solutions so quickly, “let them struggle” – for a day anyway. Got to keep the grey matter ticking over.

Is the Jan. 31 Insane Killer solvable without backtracking? It’s the first Killer from this site I’ve been unable to solve with “logic” that fits in my short term memory.

Love your Killers! Thanks for posting them. Will you ever make a long term archive of them?

I’ve registered with your new forum, and had a quick look at some of the comments. Since I’m still on Pay-as-you-go I try to keep my on-line time to a minimum, so personally I preferred the old way as could read all the recent comments off-line. It was quite interesting to read them before starting the day’s Killer, it was getting to be quite a chat room with Non-Sudoku additions. A lot of comments wouldn’t necessarily fit into a particular topic. However, we shall see, will give it a fair try.

Were you later than usual posting the Daily Killer, tried twice earlier and still yesterday’s up.

Scott, I answered your question in the forum: http://www.djapedjape.com/sudoku/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16

Gaynor, sorry, I had a big night last night and woke up slightly later :). Today’s puzzle is on the daily page.

Further, I don’t see a problem people posting non-Sudoku topics in the forum. I also liked the math puzzles posted by udosuk and others here, so don’t hesitate to continue doing that!

I had never used a forum before. I was amazed at how easy it was to register and to use. I reccomend it 100%

Dj I can’t find puzzle IQ 433384 [1st Feb here].
I looked in archives but its not there – or I can’t find it.
Pat got stuck on it and wanted another ‘clean’ page.
    Thanks

Luci, I’m sure you can find the previous 5 puzzles. This is how many we keep in the archive.

    DJ,

can I search for a puzzle by the number? If I go into archives I do NOT see killer sudokus. Where do you store them?

    Luci

Luci, go to “samunamupure” folder (which is another name for “killer sudoku”).

    Or, just use this link:

djape – I know there is a forum but this might be easier. When I click on the grid to download today’s puzzle it does not give the rating or number any more. I believe this has been happening for a few days. Is it me or has something changed?

  19. Posted February 14, 2006 at 11:30 am | Permalink

Steve C, this will be fixed from tommorow. The rating and the number are still in the filename, though.
