Sample Puzzles!
New puzzles uploaded
Sorry that I missed to post yesterday’s puzzle – it has been a really hectic week for me. I also thought that the Samurai X should keep you busy for a while.
Anyhow, I’ve uploaded the solutions to the previous puzzles and also two brand new puzzles just for you. I hope you notice the “X” across today’s Killer – always keep in mind that this indicates it’s a diagonal variation. Also, the daily classic Sudoku is not so “classic” – it’s non-symmetrical!
Have fun!
Diagonal Samurai Grid
You’ll need a blank grid for solving the Samurai X. Here it is: Diagonal Samurai Grid
Samurai X
Another brand new Sudoku variation – Sudoku Samurai X (diagonal Samurai Sudoku) has arrived.
As far as I know, this is a unique puzzle of this sort – correct me if I’m wrong. Only the visitors of this website have the privilege to download and solve it.
Basically, not only do you have to fight against 5 interconnected Sudokus, but you also need to be carefull about the diagonals: ALL diagonals in the puzzle must contain one occurrence of each 1-9 digit. The diagonals are marked in the puzzle so you wouldn’t forget about them.

Site statistics
I can proudly announce that in the past 24hrs there have been 400 unique visitors to my website and more than 2200 page views. The number of unique visitors has quadrupled in just one week.
For some these might be modest figures, but considering how long has this site been online and most importantly keeping in mind that Google still hasn’t indexed the whole site so I have no referrals from Google, I think it’s a good indication that people like my Killer Sudoku and other puzzles. Thanks for your support so far, it’s greatly appreciated.
To show my appreciation in a better way, I will post a super special puzzle later today, something that as far as I know hasn’t been seen in the world of Sudoku.

Thoughts on Samurai puzzles
Well, I can reveal that there’s been more than 120 downloads of the Samurai puzzle that I posted in one single day. I reckon that’s pretty good, considering that most visitors have been coming without knowing that there is a Samurai puzzle.
So, I’d like to hear your thoughts on these. Would you like some more puzzles? What do you think of the one that I posted? How do you rate it’s difficulty?
I need some feedback from you folks in order to know what kind of puzzles you want to see.
Blank Grids
Update October 4: I noticed that the samurai blank grid might have been a bit too big to print, so I uploaded a slightly smaller version.
—
I just figured that you might need some blank grids to print out so you could use them when you work on these puzzles. So here they are, download them, print them out using any image viewing software that support PNG (Portable Network Graphics) files and make sure you have a few of them if you’re working on a very tough puzzle!
By the way, PNG files can be viewed and printed very nicely with Firefox
Here are the grids:
Classic Sudoku grid (can also be used for Killer Sudoku)
Diagonal Sudoku (X) grid (can also be used for Killer Sudoku X)

Fiendish, anyone?
I’ve just uploaded today’s puzzles. Be warned – the classic Sudoku that I posted should be rated as ‘fiendish’, I think. If you don’t think so, have a look, solve it and rate it yourself! Let us know what you think.
I promise that I will soon implement an automatic rating system and post that difficulty level along with the day’s puzzles. I promise. Soon. 😉
We’ve become Samurai
This is something very special: my first ever produced Samurai Sudoku puzzle.
For those of you who haven’t come across these, it’s a Sudoku variation where there are 4 standard grids interconnected by another middle grid. So all together you have 5 grids!
All the standard Sudoku rules apply. You just have to be extra carefull when working on the cells that belong to more than one grid!

More daily puzzles
In addition to today’s 3×3 Killer Sudoku that you are already used to seeing here, I’ve posted another puzzle on the Daily Sudoku variants Puzzles page.
It’s a standard Sudoku, although not a classic 3×3 but rather a 2×5 variation. All 10 digits are used (0-9) so it should be slightly more difficult than the classic 3×3 Sudoku. Of course, all other rules of the game of Sudoku apply.
Needless to say, all the puzzles shown here are generated by Perfect Sudoku software. You can download and test it from the download page.
Have fun.
4×2 Killer Sudoku!
Today’s puzzle is not the ordinary 3×3 Killer Sudoku, but rather it’s a 4×2 variant.
All rules remain the same, except that there are now only 8 digits used (1-8).
NOTE:Since only 8 digits are used, the sum of all boxes, rows and columns is 36! Be careful when you look for “innies” and “outies”!
Let me know what do you think of these…
