Jigsaw Sudoku in Flower Sudoku format (5 in 1 Gattai-5)

This should be a tough one – perhaps too tough? It’s only rated “BRAIN”, but the layout makes it quite difficult, I think. 5 overlapping Jigsaw Sudoku puzzles put together in the Flower Sudoku (Gattai-5) layout, which is similar to Samurai Sudoku but not exactly the same. Make sure to use the “Twin Nonets” solving […]

Jigsaw+Classic Sudoku combination

Today’s puzzle on the Daily Sudoku variants page is somewhat ambiguous. This is why I’m duplicating it here on the main page. Basically, it’s a Classic and Jigsaw Sudoku combination. In addition to 9 Jigsaw nonets, there are 9 classic Sudoku nonets too. You have to use them both in order to solve the puzzle. […]

A few visitors to my forum have been creating these puzzles for quite some time. Well, here is one from me. Rules: Everything is exactly the same as in your ordinary Killer Sudoku puzzles, except that there are even fewer clues given to you to start with. Some cells are not joined in any cages, […]

The Law of Leftovers (LOL)

I promised to explain this technique, which applies to Jigsaw Sudoku (aka irregular blocks) puzzles, a while ago, so it’s time to keep the promise. You can find the same technique explained on various other sites, too. This technique is somewhat similar to innies/outies which is used for solving Killer Sudoku puzzles, but there is […]
